Our Commitment

Expected Behavior
All community members are expected to:
- Be respectful and inclusive in all interactions
- Use welcoming and professional language
- Show empathy and kindness toward other community members
- Focus on constructive discussions and collaboration
- Give and receive feedback gracefully
- Accept responsibility for mistakes and learn from them
- Prioritize what is best for the overall community and mission
Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors are unacceptable in our community:
- Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation of any form
- Personal attacks, trolling, or inflammatory comments
- Publishing private information without consent
- Spam, excessive self-promotion, or off-topic content
- Sharing content that is harmful, illegal, or promotes violence
- Disrupting meetings, discussions, or collaborative activities
- Violations of intellectual property or confidentiality

Enforcement
Reporting
If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct:
- Report through our main discussion group: GDC-AIForHumanity
- Contact working group moderators directly
- Reach out to GOSIM organizers through gosim.org
Response Process
When violations are reported, we will:
- Review reports promptly and confidentially
- Investigate fairly with all relevant parties
- Take appropriate corrective action
- Communicate resolution to involved parties
- Monitor to prevent retaliation
Consequences
Violations may result in:
- Warning and request for behavior change
- Temporary suspension from discussions or activities
- Permanent removal from community spaces
- Escalation to relevant authorities if necessary
Global Considerations
As an international community, we recognize:
- Cultural differences in communication styles
- Language barriers and translation challenges
- Varying legal and regulatory frameworks
- Time zone considerations for global participation
- Economic disparities affecting access to resources

Attribution
This Code of Conduct is adapted from widely-used community standards including the Contributor Covenant and incorporates principles from leading AI ethics frameworks.

This Code of Conduct may be updated periodically to reflect community growth and evolving best practices. Significant changes will be communicated to all community members.
